Start with the setting

Different spaces. Different tasks.

01

Cultural venues

Consider entrances, foyers, shared areas and visitor movement.

02

Entertainment spaces

Plan around varied activities, operating hours and maintenance access.

03

Visitor destinations

Coordinate indoor areas, access routes and the character of the location.

The project brief

Three questions to start with.

  • What experience should the venue create?
  • Which areas serve audiences and which support staff?
  • Are exhibits or performances subject to specialist lighting requirements?

From application to equipment

Product families to consider.

Final suitability depends on the environment, the layout and the verified specification.

Before you begin

A little more clarity.

Is general venue lighting the same as stage lighting?

No. Performance and exhibition lighting can need specialist equipment and design. We identify those needs separately from general building lighting.

Can the lighting adapt to different events?

Flexible switching or control zones can be considered once the uses of the venue and the equipment are understood.
